Chips
Chips are made using the magic ring technique. Smaller chip are crocheted using 4 sc in the magic ring and larger chips are crocheted using 6 sc in the magic ring. Five to six chips of various sizes fit best on the cookie top. The magic ring technique is described and illustrated for you here.
Finishing
If you’d like to attach your chips by sewing, sew each chip around the edges to the cookie top. Using the long tail left on the cookie bottom, sew cookie top to bottom 3/4 of the way around. Stop and stuff lightly to maintain the flat bottom, then continue sewing. If you’d like to glue your chips on, glue them on after the cookie has been assembled.
This will be a perfect embellishment for a Cookie Monster newborn cocoon I am making! Thanks for the adorable patter!
