Right now, there is some pureed watermelon in my fridge waiting to become sorbet. To preface that post, I wanted to share with you guys how you can make any frozen treat without even using an ice cream maker!

Memorial Day Weekend: Through Instagram
Hope you all had a lovely long weekend! I actually did A LOT more than what my Instagram photos below show! I planted my whole veggie garden, finished the herb garden on the deck, took care of some laundry and cleaning, went on a date for Ethiopian food with my husband-to-be, started organizing my craft room, visited friends and met their new baby!, and "helped" Dave paint the living room...twice... It's a work on progress.

SmartGardener.com Review
Do any of you like to garden? Have you ever heard of smartgardener.com? I was really excited to find it, but sort of found my own way to use it. It's clever because it keeps you on schedule with your gardening tasks and helps you layout your garden, though I found I disagree with it sometimes.

How to Responsibly Enjoy Wildflowers
When I moved in with my husband-to-be and out to the country, I was taken by the lovely wildflowers that grow in the woods around our house and along the sides of the road.
Just because they're considered wild doesn't make them any less beautiful than flowers we cultivate in our own gardens! Why shouldn't I enjoy them in my own home? Well, there are both legal and ethical concerns to consider regarding picking of wildflowers and I've wrapped it all up for you here.

Garden State Yarn Crawl: Through Instagram
What busy month's April and May have been! The weekends just aren't long enough anymore.
While I continue to organize my life, here are some pictures from the Garden State Yarn Crawl I participated in last month!
Yarn Crawl lasts for the whole weekend. There are a few of them a year in different locations, but the one in Jersey was this past April. You can find more Yarn Crawls here!
The goal is to visit as many participating yarn stores as you can. At each one you can enter to win cool raffles and most stores have sales as well. This year 15 stores participated in the Jersey crawl, and I visited ALL OF THEM! My brave friend Hayley and I spent all Saturday and Sunday visiting stores. We didn't win any raffles, but we did come home with an awesome yarn haul!
And it begins. Store one was Nonna's Yarn Cafe in Denville. I sneaked in visiting this one Friday during my lunch break.
